How can I let my website visitors record video (with audio) and store it on our server?

We use gstreamer on our server so it's okay if the video and audio end up in separate files, since we can merge them using gstreamer.

We need this to work in chrome at least. IE support is not required.

(I have seen working samples online, but they only manage video OR audio, not both at the same time.)

Hi, lightbricko!

Yes, this would be possible. I'm must also inform you that this is an abandoned project on Codeplex ( and yes, we need to update the info ) , you can find an new and much more competent version at ; http://xsockets.net , Just look around in the API ( WebRTC ) ,

You can also find a blogpost - http://xsockets.net/blog/tutorial-building-a-multivideo-chat-with-webrtc

There is a also a few repo's at my Git page; https://github.com/MagnusThor

Back to the question of yours, Yes, it is possible. GStreamer can be a candidate with a proper RTCPeerConnection ... We are working on such thing now for XSockets.NET , lets hook up and talk a bit about your idea? Just email contect@xsockets.net Kind regards
